6% of Americans are Addicted to Shopping

According to a study made last year by Professor Donald Black from the Univerity of Iowa, and published in World Psychiatry, 5.9 per cent of Americans have a shopping addiction. The compulsion seems to run in families, which also tend to suffer from mood and substance abuse disorders. See

    I am definately a part of the equations, having new clothes gives me a certain high Frown I think I battle with depression, even though I have not been what one would call so called "depressed" lately

    Interesting article, my dad was an alcholic
